A community project for the Hudson Valley

Central Hudson
overcharged you.

You're not the only one. Share what's on your bill — we'll tell you if something looks wrong.

No account numbers. No personal info. Just your zip code and what's on your bill.

Here's what's happening.

People across the Hudson Valley are getting electric bills that don't add up. $400 one month, $800 the next, with no real change in how they're living.

Central Hudson says the meter was read. Customers say nobody came. Then the bill quietly gets "corrected" the next month — but the original bill disappears from your online account like it never existed.

This already led to a $64.59 million settlement with the state in 2024. But the problems haven't stopped.

What you can do right now

Share what's on your bill

Just the dollar amount and how much electricity they say you used. Takes about 2 minutes. We'll compare it to your neighbors and the weather to see if it makes sense.

Talk with your neighbors

Our forum is a place to share stories, compare notes, and figure this out together. No trolls, no politics — just people trying to get a fair bill.

File a complaint (we make it easy)

We'll help you put together a complaint to the Public Service Commission or a letter to your state rep. We give you the words — you just have to send it.

Every bill matters.

Even if yours looks normal, sharing it helps us see the full picture. The more people participate, the harder the pattern is to ignore.
